The American Red Cross is hosting their Community Blood Drive, contact them to see if you can still get a free ticket. Titan gets stuck at 255ft!7-19-01
Today at Six Flags Over Texas, the hyper-coaster "Titan" their newest attraction haulted when the back trains got stuck just as the train was going over the crown of the track 255 ft high! No one was injured but riders sat in the 96 degree hot sun for almost an hour.
2 injured at Six Flags Fiesta!7-7-01
At Six Flags Fiesta Texas the "Boomerang: coast to coaster" was going up the first chain lift and when the train reached the top, one of the carts on the train seperated from the rest of the train! This case of Vekoma's boomerang type coaster has happend 2 times before. Only 2 were injured, Six Flags and Vekoma are investigating the ride. There are rumors speculating that the coaster may be removed from the park.

At Blackpool Pleasure Beach 14 people were injured when 2 trains colided on the hyper-coaster "The Big One"!

Six flags Over Texas to get Giovanola hyper-coaster!8-10-00
Six Flags Over Texas will introduce Texas's only true hyper-coaster for the 2001 season. The coaster will be similar to Goliath but will travel 88 mph and have more length!
Steel Phantom Lives with a new look for 2001!8-10-00
The worlds famous Steel Phantom was scheduled to be torn down at the end of the 2000 season, but by overwhelming responses to keep it up Kennywood decided to rebuilt and redesign the coaster with the help of DH Morgan. The coaster will keep the 225ft drop through the thunderbolt but will stretch 5 ft longer!
Ireland coming to Busch Gardens!8-8-00
Busch Gardens Williamsburg has announced that they will be introducing the "Ireland" section to the park for the 2001 season. There has been no official word of a new coaster going in yet.
9 injured on Space Mountain!8-2-00
For the first time in the history of Space Mountain at Disneyland in Anaheim California, the coaster had a mechanical problem leading in an injury of 9 people. A linkage arm conecting to the wheels broke causeing the coaster to grind its way to a sudden stop injuring 9 people. The 3459 ft long coaster reaches only 32 mph, one reason for no serious injuries.
Kings Dominion gets S&S Thrust Air blast coaster!8-1-00
Paramounts Kings Dominion will be constructing a S&S blast coaster for the 2001 season. The coaster called HyperSonic XLC will launch riders 0-80 in 1.8 seconds by air power. The coaster will then climb a 165 ft tower at 90 degrees and then drop 90 degrees down.
Boy dies at Blackpool!7-23-00
The boy only 11 years old fell from the "Space-Invader" roller coaster yesterday. He suffered fatal injuries to the head and body, the boy was dead on contact after falling out of his car.
2 Injured at Six Flags Great America!7-20-00
Two Girls 11 years old and 13 years old were injured yesterday on the Cajun Cliffhanger, both's feet were caught in part of the rides floor system!

Six Flags announced that they will build Goliath a 225ft tall Hypercoaster at magic Mountain. The coaster will feature a 125ft tunnel of smoke and speeds of 86mph!
New B&M Floorless!11-8-99
B&M is planing to build Superman Cryptonite at Six Flags Fiesta. The coaster will be 160ft tall with the top speed of 70mph! The fastest floorless coaster!
